Tips for your own Graduation SmileBooks photo book

School is over and you´re going to get your high school diploma in a few days? Here are some tips to help you create your perfect Graduation photo book so that you’ll be able to relive the memories for many years to come!
  1. On the day of your graduation, take as much pictures as you can of your friends and classmates. After all, you spent much time together in your classroom, studying huge books with smoking heads. Ask a family member to take photos when you are on stage collecting your high school diploma and make sure they get a shot of when you’re shaking hands with the principal.
  2. Take photos of the teachers who‘ve taught you over the years. When you look at them in years to come, you’ll associate so many memories with them, even of that maths teacher you didn’t get along with.. There will be always funny moments you wouldn´t want to forget.

  3. Don´t forget to make some photos of you and your family. Ask a friend to take a few. Your family is just as proud of your achievement as you are. Before you leave the school forever, take some pictures of the school campus, the classrooms, the hallways, the sports field and the cafeteria. You might want to remember where you enjoyed unappetitzing meals, or where you hid when you were supposed to be on the sports field.
  4. You are at home, looking trough the photos you´ve taken and you are dissappointed, that you are not in many photos because you’re always behind the camera? Ask your friends or classmates to send you some photos they’ve taken. You should be on there somewhere!
  5. You could host some photos from the beginning of high school where you just met your friends and started a friendship that should last forever, when everything was new and you didn´t find the way to the classrooms. Or you could go way back and use pictures of your first day of primary school. Make the photo book an journal of your academic career so far.
  6. You feel like a new person, you are so proud of yourself, that you made it, you feel free, because you left all the hard study behind you and you’re ready to start a new chapter in your life. Ask a friend who’s interested in photography or hire a professional photographer to take portrait photos of the new, adult you!
  7. After all the hard work and dedication, don´t forget that you can thank high school for many friends and all the fun times you had together since you met. Add some „after school“ photos of you and your friends in your photo book and remember, that your high school years were a beautiful and happy time both inside and outside of the classroom.
  8. Leave the last few pages blank so that friends and classmates can write messages or do drawings etc. for you. Just remember to use Sharpies to write on the coated surface of the pages on your photo book otherwise the ink might smudge. This is especially important for those friends who are going to different colleges or will be travelling to far away places. Reading their words to you will make them seem so much closer.
