Sample Books

Tuesday, November 24th, 2009

You might have noticed that our Sample Book section on the web site has been looking totally neglected the past few months. We’ve certainly not been happy with the way it looked so it’s currently under construction. We’ve been writing to customers for the last few weeks, asking if we could use your books. Many of you have been generous enough to let us display your creativity (and loved ones) to the world. A huge big thank you to all of you!

And if any of you are about to order a book and think it deserves to be posted, please let me know!

I’ve also been begging, sweet-talking and bullying SmileBooks employees to donate their books to the cause and in a couple of weeks time, you’ll be able to see some of our vacation books, wedding albums, birthday celebrations and you’ll meet our families and pets.

The pic above is of Gerd (a.k.a. Dr. Dee) who is in charge of all of our internal production software and workflows. He’s being coy now but you’ll soon get to see his trip to Mexico.

Stefffi who is a CRM Project Manager and her boyfriend have just returned from a 3 week trip to South Africa and will be sharing their photos of that trip.

We’re really looking forward to being able to share our memories with you.

Windows 7 Software

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009

We’ve been busy working on a multi-touch version of the desktop software for Windows 7 which is now available as a demo download on the web site http://www.smilebooks.com/windows7/ and the version which will be capable of processing orders will be launched on the 8th January 2010 which is the first day of the CES.

Daniel and Vasco are the two software engineers who’ve been most involved with this project.

They’ve both taken a well-deserved vacation this week but will be back on Monday.
